ICM would be second Cooperative Museum in the World. First Cooperative Museum as a store was set up at Toadlane in UK in 1844. Of course the Bank had inspiration from the Rochdale Pioneers Museum in UK. To meticulously display the intervention of the cooperative movement in the history of humanity with special attention to India and Kerala. Our aim is to make the Museum a great learning experience from common people to students as well as researchers with the support of experts and research scholars in the field.

Our Promoters intend to set up a Wax Museum as part of the International Cooperative Museum to depict eminent personalities who made indelible contributions for the cooperative movement.
With several well documented and curated shows to its credit in India and abroad with participation in Art Fairs, the gallery pledges to promote young and established artists to create a greater drive towards the popularization of the arts. We, The promoters also intend to set up an Art Gallery to honor eminent artists who visit Kozhikode by providing them an opportunity for live demonstration of their innate skills and talents, and to display their works at the Gallery.

Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) and University of Calicut has offered their intellectual support and guidance for the project. Eminent historian Dr. MGS Narayanan has agreed to be the academic head of the project to review the content. A coordination committee has been constituted to oversee the research work. Dr. P Sivadasan, head of history department of University of Calicut is the chairman of the committee. Prof. Vasisht, head of the department of history, Malabar Christian College, is the convener of the committee.
International Cooperative Museum is a project of Karasseri Bank, a fast-growing cooperative bank in the State. It would be the second cooperative museum in the world and the first one in Asia. Construction of the 15-storied building to house the Museum has already been begun and progressing well. It is expected that the building would be completed in 24 months. ULCC, the cooperative giant in the field of construction has been given the contract.
